Tax Reform Framework

Click HERE to watch the video.

House Republicans introduced a tax reform framework that is projected to raise incomes in Michigan by $4,000 on average.  Our plan is about fairness and prosperity for all: bigger paychecks, growing businesses, and a stronger economy.

Our plan will:

  • Lower rates for families and individuals.
  • Shrink our 7 tax brackets to 3.
  • Double the standard deduction and the child tax credit so middle-class families will keep more of their paychecks.
  • Close loopholes for special interests.

Fighting the Opioid Epidemic

Opioid roundtable discussion with local law enforcement and health officials.

The opioid crisis has taken a toll on communities across the country, including here in Michigan’s 10th District.  I sat down with local law enforcement and health officials who have been on the front lines fighting opioid abuse for years. Their dedication to our community is truly unparalleled. I am grateful for their input as we determine how to better coordinate federal and local efforts to address this crisis. I look forward to working with them to continue to address this challenge.
