Press Release

Shelby Township, Michigan – Yesterday, Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) held a veterans medal event to present military medals to veterans who either never received them, or lost them over the years. The veterans’ service span from World War II to the Vietnam War.

“It’s important to recognize the incredible sacrifice these veterans made for our country, and today’s event was a great way to honor and commemorate their service – especially since they were often not given the proper respect at the time.” said Mitchell. “I’m glad my office was able to help these veterans secure their medals and share their stories. I encourage any veteran who needs help with the VA or any federal agency to contact my office so we can help.”
