Press Release

WASHINGTON – Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement this morning regarding the infrastructure principles released this week by House Democrats:

“It is no secret and everyone agrees ageing infrastructure has long been an issue for the country, and I believe Congress can work together in a bipartisan fashion to develop a plan that addresses the 21st century needs of America.

Since coming to Congress I have urged my colleagues to work collaboratively in our efforts to enact infrastructure legislation that delivers for the American people. As a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure I look forward to working with the Chairman and Ranking Member and all my committee colleagues to produce bipartisan legislation that makes much needed changes to federal infrastructure policies.”

In September 2019 Congressman Mitchell and Congressman Salud Carbajal (D-CA) coauthored an op-ed outlining infrastructure reform principles. That op-ed is available by clicking here.

Congressman Mitchell sits on the Aviation; Highway and Transit; and Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittees.
