Press Release

WASHINGTON – Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement this afternoon after attending the White House signing ceremony of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

“I applaud President Trump and his Administration on this landmark trade agreement. I have said from the beginning of my time in Congress that NAFTA was outdated and needed to be replaced. The USMCA brings necessary updates that ensure economic growth, greater access to markets, agricultural expansion, and job creation.

USMCA is a victory for not only the state of Michigan, but for all Americans. I was pleased to work with the Administration and my colleagues in Congress on the passage of this historic agreement.”
