Mitchell: Adoption of Budget is the Next Step Toward Tax Reform
Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement after voting for the FY 2018 Budget, H.Con.Res. 71:
“Today, we passed a budget that is the next step toward enacting pro-growth, pro-worker tax reform. Our tax plan focuses on families living paycheck to paycheck; it’s projected to increase wages by $4,000 on average, create new jobs, and allow workers to keep more of their own money. We are now well on the way to realizing tax reform that will bring bigger paychecks, growing businesses, and a stronger economy,” said Representative Mitchell.
- On October 5, 2017, the House passed the Building A Better America Budget.
