Mitchell Announces 2017 Congressional Art Competition Winners
Shelby Township, MI. – Port Huron Northern student, Andrea Dunn was named the winner of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition. Andrea’s artwork will be displayed with all winning entries in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
Rep. Mitchell presented Andrea Dunn with a certificate for winning “Best in Show” of the Congressional Art Competition. She is joined by her art teacher Victoria Hussey.
Certificates were also awarded to top pieces in photography or graphic design and original or mixed media. To see these pieces, visit Rep. Mitchell’s Facebook page here. The competition is open to all high school students, grades nine to 12, who reside in the district.
Student artwork, including winners is on display until April 28th, in an open gallery for public viewing at Studio 1219, 1219 Military St., Port Huron, MI 48060.
