Mitchell Applauds Passage of Career and Technical Education Bill
WASHINGTON – Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement after the House concurred with the Senate Amendment to H.R. 2353, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act. The bill now moves to President Trump for signature.
“Prior to serving in Congress, I dedicated my 35-year career to workforce education. There’s something about the pride that comes when someone builds the skills necessary to get a good job and start a career path. The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act provides additional flexibility for community and education leaders to offer choices to students and families to develop skills that meet the needs of employers. I am proud to have cosponsored this long overdue bill, supported it in committee, and spoke on the floor to support its passage. I look forward to President Trump signing this legislation into law to help close the skills gap and create new opportunities for all Americans.”
The bill passed unanimously by voice.
