Mitchell on Repeal of WOTUS
Washington, D.C. – Representative Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement after the Trump administration released their proposal to rescind the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule:
“Both in my Agriculture Advisory Committee, and around the district, I frequently hear about the uncertainty that this overly broad rule has imposed on farmers. This flawed WOTUS rule unnecessarily put intermittent streams, creeks, and ponds under the regulatory authority of the federal government, creating the risk of arbitrary and unfair enforcement. I commend President Trump for his commitment to support America’s farmers and rural communities and overturn this overly burdensome rule,” said Representative Mitchell.
