Shelby Township, MI – Today, Representative Paul Mitchell (MI-10) released the following statement after the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) released the Brandon Road Study:

"After repeated calls on the Army Corps to end the delays, I am pleased that the Corps has released the Brandon Road Study today.  This long overdue report is an essential step toward finding a long-term solution to protect our Lakes from Asian carp, and preserve the Lakes for future generations to enjoy.  As we evaluate the findings in the report, I will seek input from stakeholders and experts to determine the best course of action, and I encourage all interested to take advantage of the public comment period," said Representative Mitchell.

In July, Representative Mitchell introduced an amendment calling on the USACE to release the Brandon Road Study.  Read more and watch the debate here.
